We produce organic hemp seed oil from the first cold pressing and only from certified hemp grain grown on organic Baltics (EU) farms. The oil is extracted from mechanically cleaned and dried raw materials of the highest quality, which before this process are verified for possible microbiological and chemical contamination.
The hemp grain is pressed only once, since the virgin oil is the most valuable. Hemp seed oil does not contain any preservatives, colorants and other food additives, as well as being non-GMO and gluten free.
Hemp oil is known as the richest source of unsaturated fatty acids (“good” fatty acids). Hemp oil also has its own unique nutritional characteristics will help to maintain health and uphold beauty. Only 1-2 spoons of oil contain the entire recommended daily dose of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. It can be consumed as a salad dressing, and is perfectly suited for adding to snacks and spreads, as well as for seasoning various dishes, soups and even fruit juices.
Hemp oil should be stored away from light and heat sources. After opening, the oil should be stored in a refrigerator and used within 30 days. It should not undergo any heating and is not suitable for frying.
The nutrition and health characteristics of the organic hemp seed oil are as follows:
1. It is sugar-free, high in vitamin D, a source of vitamin E, high in omega-3 fatty acids, and also high in polyunsaturated fat and unsaturated fat;
2. The replacement of saturated fat with ALA, linoleic acid and unsaturated fat in food contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels (the beneficial effect can be obtained with a daily intake of 2 g of ALA / 10 g of linoleic acid, as well as mono-unsaturated and poly-unsaturated fatty acids that are unsaturated fats);
3. Vitamin D contributes to normal blood calcium levels, is important for the absorption of calcium and phosphorus and (or) their uptake, the maintenance of normal bone and dental health and muscle functions, the proper functioning of the immune system, and has a role in the process of cell division;
4. Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Scientists say that the ideal ratio of Omega 6 and Omega 3 should be from 1:1 to 4:1. An excess amount of Omega 6 fatty acid will inhibit the effect of the Omega 3. The ratio in 3 tablespoons of organic hemp seed is 3:1.
